Overview

As an Engagement Manager, you'll lead the charge in managing client relationships and projects, ensuring seamless execution from inception to delivery while drive business development and revenue growth. Your role will encompass implementing and refining engagement management processes, driving efficiency gains, and spearheading the development and optimization of processes, technology, and special projects.

As the primary liaison between clients and our internal teams, you'll cultivate strong client relationships, coordinate project teams, and oversee project progress, all while providing exceptional support and guidance. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in mentoring Business Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the engagement management team. Professional Responsibilities

As an Engagement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Managing Client Relationships and Projects
  • Taking ownership for concurrent projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Effectively managing project teams and coordinating necessary resources.
  • Developing client relationships and becoming primary point of contact for assigned clients.
Executing Engagement Management Processes
  • Implementing engagement management processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase client and company revenue, efficiency, EBITDA, and valuation.
  • Coordinating the planning, development, testing, deployment, and optimization of processes, technology, and special projects.
  • Managing and refining product roadmaps.
  • Creating testing plans and defining task and deliverable acceptance criteria.
  • Managing project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time.
  • Monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments.
  • Preparing materials for client meetings and presentations.
  • Addressing client questions and support requests.
  • Creating and maintaining client and product documentation.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, creating action plans, and ensuring timely follow-through.
Refining Engagement Management and Other Processes
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director to improve the Engagement Management processes.
  • Contributing to the improvement of other company processes to drive revenue, efficiency, EBITDA, and valuation.
  • Undertaking additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Managing Director, COO, CTO, and CEO.
Mentoring Business Analysts
  • Providing guidance, support, and expertise to help Business Analysts to grow and achieve organizational and personal success.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the engagement management team.
Earn a promotion to Senior Engagement Manager (or another mutually determined and agreed upon role).
  • Deliver results and demonstrate competency, work ethic, and professionalism requisite to earn a promotion to an Engagement Manager.

Evaluation Criteria

Your success as an Engagement Manager will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  • Client results, as measured by business value, timeliness, quality, and achievement of targets, goals, and objectives.
  • Client satisfaction, as measured by results from client stakeholder surveys.
  • Gross profit generated from new opportunities.
  • Gross profit in excess of expected gross profit, as measured by actual assigned-client gross profit minus expected client gross profit.
  • Cultural alignment and morale impact, as measured by surveys of internal project teams, peers, and superiors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of prior experience working as a business analyst, consultant, or related role within a professional service firm.
  • Proven personal and professional track record managing and delivering enterprise projects.
  • Strong skills resolving complex issues, leveraging quantitative reasoning and analytics.
  • Proficient in analytics and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong desire to grow in knowledge, business and technology acumen, and personal ability.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, relationships, and drive business and revenue growth.
